Cumann na mBunscol Boys’ Outdoor Gaelic Football Blitz

Congratulations to all the boys who proudly represented St. Conor’s today at the Cumann na mBunscol annual boys’ outdoor 9-a-side football competition in Fintona, where they finished as worthy runners-up.

The team delivered outstanding performances throughout the day against a very strong field. They recorded impressive victories over St. Colmcille’s Carrickmore and St. Dympna’s Dromore and battled to a hard-earned draw against a talented Holy Family side. A narrow defeat to St. Lawrence’s Fintona followed but the results were enough to secure St. Conor’s a place in the final.

The final against St. Colmcille’s was a tightly fought contest, with scores at a premium throughout. Despite a monumental effort and tremendous resilience from every player, St. Conor’s were just edged out in a thrilling decider.

A huge thank you to the organisers for hosting such a well-run event and to the referee for ensuring a fantastic day of sport for everyone involved. An excellent achievement by all of our lads — you should be very proud of your efforts.
