Children in 1KH and 3EK had a fantastic time on Thursday with our Forest School Trainer, Dan!
Our Primary 1 pupils loved learning all about nests. They explored what birds need to stay safe and warm, then worked together to build the perfect nest for their own little “bird.” There was lots of teamwork, creativity and problem‑solving on display!
Meanwhile, Primary 3 learned about hibernation and why some animals sleep through the winter. They then got hands-on and used bamboo sticks, tarps, pegs and ties to build their very own hibernation dens. The children worked brilliantly together, thinking carefully about shelter, warmth and stability.
It was a wonderful outdoor learning experience for both classes, and we look forward to further work with Dan and many more exciting Forest School learning opportunities throughout the year!
