A heartfelt thank you to Gibson Primary School for inviting us to their soccer tournament in memory of their much‑loved caretaker, Sidney Gilfillan. It was a brilliant day from start to finish — full of football, fun and great sportsmanship — and both our boys’ and girls’ teams did St. Conor’s proud.
Every single player showed outstanding effort, teamwork and determination, particularly given that both of our teams were made up solely of P6 pupils competing against older P7s. The girls were edged out 1–0 by the eventual champions, St. Lawrence’s PS in the semi-finals and the boys missed the knockout rounds by the narrowest of margins on goal difference.
Thank you again to Gibson PS for hosting such a well‑organised and enjoyable event. Our pupils were fantastic ambassadors for our school and community.
