Omagh St. Enda's Schools' Cup Champions 🏆

13th Jun 2025

St. Conor’s Shine at Omagh St. Enda’s Schools’ Cup

Today, forty of our pupils travelled to Healy Park to take part in the annual Omagh St. Enda’s Schools’ Cup. With splendid weather and a feast of football on display, it was a memorable day for all involved.

Our four teams gave it their all from start to finish, once again proving to be excellent ambassadors for St. Conor’s. Their superb skills, tireless effort, and exemplary sporting behaviour were on full display throughout the tournament.

The girls’ ‘A’ team qualified for the Holy Family Cup final. After a titanic battle with a strong St. Mary’s PS side, a game that ebbed and flowed and had to be decided in extra time, St. Conor’s emerged victorious by the narrowest of margins.

The boys’ ‘A’ team were outstanding in the group stages and earned their spot in the Mulryan Cup semi-final, where they faced a talented St. Ronan’s, Recarson. In a thrilling and evenly contested match, the boys were narrowly edged out by a single point.

Our boys’ ‘B’ team also impressed, qualifying for the O’Hagan Shield final. In the final, they showed great determination and skill, but were narrowly defeated by a more experienced Sacred Heart Tattyreagh side.

The girls’ ‘B’ team, many of whom were representing the school for the first time, were fantastic throughout the day. Their spirited performances saw them narrowly miss out on a place in the St. Enda’s Shield semi-final.

A huge thank you to everyone at Omagh St. Enda’s for organising such a well-run and enjoyable tournament and for giving all the children the opportunity to showcase their talents. Thanks also to all the volunteers for refereeing and helping to ensure the children enjoyed a wonderful day of football.
