Our Year 1 children have been busy enjoying a wide range of outdoor activities this week in the sun. These physical activities were focused on building strength, balance, coordination, and developing confidence with fundamental movement skills. The children were all really engaged, working together, taking turns and developing a love of being active and outdoors.
We used these lovely experiences as a stimulus for some recount writing, incorporating one of this week's new words - "was". The children are working towards becoming more independent with their writing, using finger spaces and spelling cvc words.
