We were proud to host our Annual Netball Tournament with 9 different schools taking part. The girls played brilliantly showing excellent skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Their enthusiasm and determination made all group matches exciting to watch. Two teams progressed from each group, creating 2 thrilling semi-final battles. First we seen St Ronan's Recarson play St Mary's Killyclogher, followed by Holy Family playing against the hosts St Conor's. Both semi-finals highlighted the talent and positive spirit of primary school netball in our area! Our final seen St Conor's playing a strong St Ronan's Recarson team, who came out on top as winners today. Congratulations to St Ronan's, who have taken home the Sheild today.
Today would not have been possible without help from Mrs Mullan, Mrs Grimley and Year 14 pupil Aoibheann from Sacred Heart College. They guided the girls helping them understand the rules of the game on court, whilst also umpiring fairly. We hope this has helped inspire the girls to continue on their Netball journey into Secondary School.
