In the nursery we had visits from parents who are hairdressers.
The children were so interested and listened attentively.
We learned about different tools and how to use them safely.We handled dye charts and brushes. Some children experienced wearing a cape and looking at the scissors and buzzers. The hairdressers talked about how they can help if you are afraid to have your hair cut. They also demonstrated hairstyles. We also talked about how to look after our hair.
Children were able to copy these ideas into their own learning with resources in the classroom.
