Year 6 Viking Investigation
Our Year 6 classes took part in an exciting World Around Us and Numeracy investigation linked to their Vikings – Raiders and Traders topic.
Working in groups, the pupils were set a challenging shopping task: to select suitable equipment for a six‑day Viking raid on Ireland, while staying within a budget of £6,000.
The boys and girls worked brilliantly together, using careful calculations, teamwork and problem‑solving skills to complete the investigation. Despite the complexity of the task, every group showed great perseverance and eventually managed to solve the challenge through lots of hard work and mathematical thinking.
