Yr 2 Proposed Learning Schedule for Week beginning 22/06/2020

Hi Parents/Carers, boys and girls,

First off, can we give you all a huge round of applause for the brilliant participation in our Virtual Sports day this week!! We really enjoyed seeing as many of you as could attend and understand that this may not have been possible for everyone. You looked to have loads of fun and Gary certainly kept you on your toes!!

This is the last week we will be posting the weekly schedule so it is with a heavy heart that we begin to draw this unusual school year to a close. You have all been fantastic learners in challenging circumstances and we can’t praise you enough for the fabulous efforts you have made. Next year will be different again as you move into a new classroom and a new form of learning. Don’t worry, our aim in St Conor’s is to make this transition as easy as we can and we hope that you will see familiar faces through your friends and the Teachers/classroom assistants around the school when you return again.

We are all very sad in P2 at finishing up in this way but we also know that these are challenging times and we have to do what is best by following the guidelines put in place for us.

To all you Parents/Carers…thank you all so much for your support throughout the school year from September – June. We loved meeting you and working with you for the benefit of your kids.

To all you kids…. You have been brilliant children! Your parents/carers should be very proud of you and in return you should give them a big hug to show how much you appreciate all they do for you too.

We‘ll finish off by telling you that this reduced schedule is only SUGGESTED. We know that some of you would like to complete the remaining work given in the packs. There is no obligation to do so. What we do ask is that you keep reading and writing some days over the summer holidays. Look back over your booklets and finish activities on the wet and rainy days.

Finally: -

Don’t forget to complete the brick for the friendship wall in the Covid folder- response to pupil questionnaire section and send on to Mrs. Goodwin. All details supplied when you open the folder pupil response questionnaire. Remember to return all reading books, library book or school property on Tuesday when you collect your child’s pupil reports.

We’ll probably see you then!

In the meantime, take care and look after each other. Have a wonderful summer holiday. You deserve to have lots of fun after working hard all year, especially these past few months. Hopefully the sun will shine and you will be able to play outside with your friends and family.
