1. Keeping a Journal

While you are in lockdown, it would be a great exercise to write a journal. This would be a record of your day to day activities and drawings. When it is all over, you can store your journal in a safe place and you will be able to share it in the future with your children and grand children to let them know about this unique time.

2. Letter Writing

Many senior citizens are home alone at this time with no visitors or friends to meet. Others are in local care homes and all of them would appreciate receiving a letter from someone.  

You could write a letter to either your grandparent or become a penpal for an old person in care home. You could write about yourself, your hobbies and your family.

Knockmoyle Lodge has asked for young people to become penpals with their residents. They want your letters, pictures and poems and they will pass them on to the old people in their care who are missing their families and friends. The address for your letters is:
